There is a serial killer on the loose, torturing and butchering his way across the North of England. Welcome Home eBook Neil Davies

A serial-killer thriller with a wonderful twist and a bit of the supernatural.

Victoria is trying to figure out who she is, though she can not remember her past. After waking up in the hospital with an array of nasty injuries, the only thing she can remember is the name Victoria. Now married and trying to build a normal life for herself, Victoria and her husband Simon have settled down in the quaint town of Taupington and are fixing up a Victorian style house, that Victoria is inexplicably drawn to. Meanwhile, a sadistic serial killer has also come to town and has decided to stay in order to make Victoria's new neighbor his latest victim.

This thriller grabbed me from the start and I had to finish it the same day. Switching point of view from Victoria and the serial killer made a great build to the unexpected relationship that they have. While the scenes with the serial killer were very graphic, they were not overdone and seemed as true to life as I could imagine. The added element of the supernatural was very interesting and I wish it was explored just a bit more.

Welcome Home eBook Neil Davies Reviews

All I can say is wow!!! If you like serial killer books then you must read this book. It is one of the best I have read and I have read many. The part of the serial killer was so well written and graphic I was sure the author was a serial killer writing about his past murders. It had plenty of suspense, murder, blood and violence and even some romance. I could not put this book down and I could no wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved how all the different character stories ended up coming together in the end.
I am a huge fan of serial killer novels (probably the result of watching to much CSI). But it is so hard to find one that really sucks you in and keeps you guessing until the end. But Welcome Home does. I can honestly say that until almost the end I had no idea the story would end the way it did. Once I started the book I could not put it down. I recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of a good mystery. The only warning I have is it is very descriptive in parts, those who are very squeamish may have to skip a few pages here and there, but it is still worth the read and it is pretty easy to tell when those parts are coming. One of the greatest mysteries I have read and I would 100% recommend this book.
My only little niggle about this novel is everyone falls in love so easily!
Apart from that blinkin' AMAZING!!
You are introduced to 2 serial killers, a gang of teenagers, a randy policeman and a hit man!
How these brilliant, deep characters all come together in one amazing kill fest is just genius.
Lots of gore, a fair amount of sex, some spectacular plot twists and a brilliant ending...
Started reading and could NOT put down....had I not had to go to work I would have finished it in one sitting, I was so gripped, instead I spent all day thinking about the characters and what was going to happen next....
This author is a hidden gem....
In Welcome Home Neil Davies creates a terrifying portrait of evil injecting images into your mind that wont be easily forgotten.
Victoria is a woman with an unknown past, and when that past begins to return to her it returns in a complete and shockingly evil revelation. After waking in the hospital with no memories of her Victoria eventually settles into a comfortable life, She and her husband Simon move to a small village where Victoria finds her dream home. Soon, however the village is the hunting ground of a serial killer. A killer who has a connection to the mystery of Victoria's past.
I found this book to be more than a read, it was an obsession. I could not stop reading until I reached the last word. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes well written crime fiction.
This book follows a woman named Victoria, her life in a new town with her husband Simon and the new dream home that she found, as well as the life a sadistic killer that is torturing woman all around her new town.

Chapter two of the book made me think "What did I get myself into?". I am not a weak stomached person and I love a good murder themed book but I definitely got nauseous on this one. I would not recommend this book for any younger readers or anyone with past trauma of physical/sexual abuse as this may cause distress.

The book, despite the "This is too much!" feeling I got often through some of the parts, was a very keep you wanting to read more type of book. There were definitely some details that I felt were a bit too much but I do understand that it let you get into to the mindset of the killer. But it was still one of the most disturbingly violent books I've read.

As for the story line it does close all of the loose ends up very nicely. I didn't like the way it would switch from one person to the next without some sort of warning like a space between paragraphs as most books do. Sometimes you would be very into it and reading along but it would throw you off when you didn't realize it switched characters on you.

I thought I had this book figured out in the beginning and boy was I wrong! It definitely had a great twist towards the end that I didn't expect and even more right through the final page.
